I’m David Amayo-Morrison.

I’m interested in how the world is changing, especially when technology, markets, human behaviour and power start interacting in ways that are difficult to see clearly at first.

A lot of my professional life has been spent around search, digital commerce and customer discovery. That naturally pulled me towards AI, platforms, blockchain, markets and the broader question of how technology changes where value accumulates.

But my curiosity is wider than my work.

I think a lot about independence, ambition, incentives, belief, identity, the future and what it means to build a life deliberately rather than inherit one by default.

I’m drawn to ideas that sit slightly ahead of consensus. Not because being contrarian is inherently valuable, but because periods of change tend to create a gap between what has already changed and what most people have noticed.

I like that gap.

I don’t have a fixed worldview that I’m trying to defend here. Some of what I believe strongly today will probably look naïve in ten years. Other things may turn out to have been directionally right.

Either outcome interests me.

I’m trying to understand the world while I’m living through it, and to leave enough of a record behind that I can see who I was while I was doing so.
